Trip to Todaba National Park

A group of around 25 Jadavs and their families visited Tadoba National Park as an educational cum recreational excursion. The group started on 31st March evening by two trains from Secunderabad Station to Chandrapur. In Chandrapur a bus was waiting which would take the group to Tadoba tiger reserve. The group stayed in MTDC resort and went for safari on 1st April & 2nd April. A few members and their families returned on 2nd April while majority stayed back and returned on 3rd April. All the group members were fortunate enough to see the star attractions, the tigers Maya and her male counterpart Matkasur. Some of the members were also very fortunate to see leopard and also tigers like Bajrang who crossed the road and another tiger who took a leisurely stroll by crossing a river. There were also Indian bisons or gaurs, plenty of Sambars, deers, wild hogs, peacocks and other birds. Almost everybody was lucky to see a gharial in a lake who was possibly meditating under water.

A good account of it appears in Megh Peon in a write up by Koel.
