
Musical concert “Jeeboner Jolsaghore” on 28th October, 2017 (Saturday) at 7.00 pm.
Venue : Phoenix Arena, TSIIC Park, Opposite HSBC Phase 2, HITEC, Hyderabad.
The program was completed in presence of around 80-100 audience mostly belonging to JU Alumni Hyderabad fraternity. He started with a beautiful invocation to the divine mother through Sarva Mangala Mangalye Shive and continued in the same vein. He also sung tributes and hymns to the Ramakrishna-Saradatradition, apart from singing some famous songs of Manna De like Kahin Door Jav.
This Concert staged both traditional and contemporary melodies from semi-classical Indian Gharanas. Pt. Jyotiprakash Chattopadhyay, the artist, is an able disciple of Deshikottam Pt. Gyan Prokash Ghosh and Sangeetacharya Pt Ajay Sinha Roy. He is a dedicated composer, who worked closely with Sri Manna De for more than two decades.

Pt Anindo Chattopadhyay and nephew of Sitarist Pt. Deviprasad Chattopadhyay
His live performances on Ghazal, ‘Harano Diner Gaan’, Bhajan, Nazrul Sangeet attract a wide audience because of his versatile style. Apart from his frequent performances in All India Radio, TV, Films and on stage, Jyotiprakash is also a researcher in Nazrulgeeti.
He composed music in films like Bhranti Bilas, Chor-Chor, Anu, Aleek Babu, He-Mahajeebon,,
Jaadugari (Hindi), Mahananda (NFDC) and so on. His work has been appreciated and admired by directors like Dinen Gupta, Utpalendu Cakraborty, Neetish Mukherjee and others.
Some of the achievements : Uttam Kalaratna Award (2017), Manna De Saraswat Award (2015), Uttam Kumar Award (twice – 1998 and 2013), Radhakanta Nandi Award (2010).
Jyotiprakash was adjudged the best Singer and Composer in “All India Sudhin Das Gupta Sangeet
Contest – 1989” by the panel comprising Salil Choudhury, Hemanta Mukherjee, V Balsara, Pulak Bandopadhyay, Jatileswar Mukhopadhyay and others.
Many of the compositions of Pt Jyotiprakash are recorded in golden voices of Manna De, Arundhoti Homchowdhury, Haimanti Sukla, Indrani Sen, and other eminent artists.
