While the rampant spread of the COVID-19 disease over the last one month and the preventive lockdowns have grounded all of us, it has not been able to dampen the high spirits of the vibrant JU Alumni Association Hyderabad chapter. The members have been staying connected leveraging the latest video conferencing tools, and recently celebrated ‘Nabo Barsho Boron Utsav 1427’ on Saturday, 18th April, 2020. This was attended by more than 40+ members and their families spread across multiple locations and the event lasted for 3+ hours. The evening get-together was a rich cultural ensemble of poetry, songs, music and dance with performers ranging from 10 to 80 years. The evening uplifted our spirits, and we ended it with a vow to conquer and overcome the melancholy mood inflicted all over by the Coronavirus. The alumni body is preparing now for the ‘Rabindra Jayanti’ celebrations on May 9, 2020.
