Details related to “Major Activities in 2024”:
- Anniruddha da addressed the gathering
- Since we were discussing related to our travel experiences, Aniruddha da shared his experience of travelling in Cambodia & Vietnam
- Since we have already chosen JUAAH Committee last year on 2023, as per bye-laws the same team will continue without any change for duration of 2 years

- We should feel proud and satisfied about our Philanthropic streams of activities which distinguishes JUAAH from other existing groups in Hyderabad
- Contribution towards Margin to Mainstream for children's education - Completed
- Sai Seva Sangh for installation of 5 gas geysers - Completed
- Priya Nestham Trust (Nagaraj) for building urinals at school for students at Mulugu, Warangal - Completed
- Aman Vedika Home for Girls - Donated 2 Storage Units – Completed
- Student scholarships for JU students' education - parent alumni body – Ongoing

Lot of efforts were spent on JUAAH website
- All articles were migrated from ‘jualumnihyd.org’ site to ‘jualumnihyd.in’

www.jualumnihyd.in is fully revamped
- Security certificate (SSL) is added
- New Gallery page is added
- Website Content is curated
- Magazine page is fully structured with all offline and online content centralized. Old magazine pages are indexed, Articles sequenced
- Earlier .org site is now retired
- We had multiple initiatives in memory of our loving Chandana Khan di, whom we unfortunately lost towards 2nd half of 2024
- We published current version of JUAAH Magazine – Megh Peon dedicating to Chandana di
- We organized Memoriam for her on 6th Sep, 2024 in State Gallery of Arts
- We participated in event organized by “Nikhil Bharatiya Sahityo Parishad”
- Annual fundraising cultural program of “Bickram Ghosh’s Rythmscape” on Apr 28, 2024 was a huge success
- Expenses: 9.5L
- Collection: 14L
- Nett: 4.5L, of which we have done 4L new FD last year
- Science Symposium was held on 31st Aug, 2024 (IICT Tarnaka)
- Expenses: 1.87L
- Collection: 1.61L

Details related to JUAAH Event Calendar 2025 as proposed:
- Annual Picnic and AGM will be held on Jan 2nd half, 2026
- A part of the discussion was dedicated towards ideation of 2025 edition of fundraising cultural event. This year the plan is to organize in but larger scale, Ex: in Shilpakala Vedika
- Few options were discussed (Debopam da, Chanchal da and others)
- Kavita Krishnamurthy & L Subramaniam – Budget will be around 20-25 Lakhs
- Amjad Ali Khan – Budget will be around 20-25 Lakhs
- Kaushiki+ Shobha mudgal / Kaushiki Band – Budget to be checked
- Rishabh rikhiram sharma – Budget to be checked
- Purbayan + Gayatri Ashokan – Budget around 10-15 Lakhs etc
- We need to have another dedicated meeting
- To understand how much budget is feasible for us, what all will be our sources
- Find out 3 best options and work in parallel, eventually one will be decides this year but we ll have ready reference for other 2
- Tentative time proposed was around July August, considering sufficient lead time
- Laltu da expressed concern about fund source and that we all need to stretch if we are planning to scale up compared to last year
- Few options were discussed (Debopam da, Chanchal da and others)
- Science Symposium 2025 (Chanchal da addressed on behalf of Symposium team)
- IICT is willing to continue collaborating with JUAAH and this is win-win for both sides
- Amal da proposed to have few other Student projects funded from our side
- DPS is also willing to participate this year
- The structure for Science Symposium is well defined now. We need to finalize the date considering the Cultural event date
- JUAAH Internal Cultural event
- Proposed around Apr 25
- Anindita Di and Mou are given the charge for planning and execution
- JUAAH Group Travel
- Mainak + Others helping him will initiate the discussion in Main group

Details related to Financial Updates:

Accounts update:
- 5 FDs with Axis Bank, total amounting to Rs.14.5 lakhs approx
- Savings balance of approx 50K (after budgeting for picnic expenses)
- Overall JUAAH funds ~ 15 lakhs
- JUAAH Account audit is ongoing, details have been shared with auditor. Once done, we shall share audit report with members
- Once Audit is done, we are planning to apply for CSR certificate so that our major expenses related to Philanthropic work and contributions for that cause, can be Tax exempted
We decided to add “Doyeli Chakraborty” and “Sudipto Mandal” in our EC/AC team
Details related to Membership Updates:
- Total life member as of now (Including Spouses) : 50
- We explained the importance of having members (Either Yearly / Life)
- Our only source of funds are our members / Annual Fund raising program
- For all our member specific programs, we need to use membership fund for offering reduced rates, infrastructure costs etc
- We currently have below 3 channels of communication
- WhatsApp group – There are many participants in this group who are not even related to Jadavpur University. Not sure how they got added, neither they participate in JUAAH programs and initiatives
- Facebook group – This is private group having Events, Pictures & Videos from our programs, basically our Memory Album
- Instagram Channel – This is a Public channel for our major activities/updates
- We shall reach out to all existing members and take necessary action based on their response
- We also need to include more JU alumni’s who may be in Hyd but not yet connected to us
- Also we need to think of ways to increase involvement
Overall this edition of JUAAH Annual picnic was fully enjoyable with
- Excellent Venue, Vesta Homes have improved the place, Kids even got time to enjoy the big swimming pool
- Good Food from Debol
And last but not the least, JUAAH members are always spirited to celebrate with fun games and adhoc performances. Thank you all, Looking forward to the next edition!
