Siddhangana Biswas,
Class 1X, Defence Laboratories School, RCI, Hyderabad

Introduction
Living organisms have been evolving since the dawn of the “living-friendly” environment. From bacteria to unicellular organisms, and from apes to humans, we have developed the most among all organisms. Our well developed brains help us with our sustainability and understanding of science, leading to various technologies that create a better future. Humans have leveraged their intellect to create and innovate, driving progress that has shaped the modern world.

Science Giving Light To Technology
Science serves as the direct source of knowledge, bringing theoretical technologies like quantum technology, atomic fusion, and artificial intelligence to life. These advancements are possible due to the small observations and innovations made by our ancestors. For example, AI technology is rooted in the fundamental principles of mathematics and logic developed centuries ago. The modern computer evolved from the earliest forms of a simple calculator, and it may continue to evolve into something even more advanced. Science is the fire to technology, a light through which all theories become visible.

New Technologies
The rapid pace of technological innovation in recent years has dramatically transformed various aspects of our daily lives. Some new ideas, such as using sand to generate thermal energy is a green, clean, and convenient way of generating energy. This could make use of soil-eroded areas, contributing to overall development. Another idea is using lenses like magnifying glasses to generate heat in a specific area, which can then be used as thermal energy.

Some of the new technologies include nanotechnology, IoT, and quantum computing. Like, IoT can improve agricultural efficiency by monitoring soil conditions and optimizing water use, which is crucial for sustainable farming practices. However, not all these technologies are environmentally sustainable. Therefore, we should focus on developing more sustainable technologies. For example, creating smart devices as small as a fingertip could reduce electronic waste. Additionally, developing new technology to detect the nature and characteristics of plants, such as when a plant needs water or the ripening time of fruits, can optimize agricultural practices and reduce resource consumption.

Moreover, innovative technologies can be used in natural calamities. For instance, exploring the possibility of polymerizing a tornado using sodium polymer. This could potentially disrupt the formation of a tornado, reducing its destructive power and mitigating damage. Such advancements highlight the potential of science and technology in addressing both everyday challenges and extraordinary natural events.

Conclusion
In conclusion, science and technology hold the promise of a better tomorrow by addressing some of the most significant challenges faced by our world. From experimenting to developing, it is a continuous process that creates opportunities for a brighter future. By harnessing science and technology, we can create a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world for generations to come. Statistics show that technological advancements significantly impact the global economy and our daily lives, emphasizing the importance of continuous innovation. The pursuit of new technologies must also focus on sustainability to ensure that future generations inherit a world that is both advanced and habitable.
